Kadans is a 40-metre former cargo ship on KNSM Island, a quiet island in Amsterdam-Oost. We live on board, and the Boatsuite in the bow is completely separate: your own front door, your own deck, your own bathroom with walk-in shower. Made for two: luxury on the water, in one of the quietest spots in the city. Amsterdam like you have never experienced it.

Inside houseboat Kadans

Your Boatsuite in the bow, our home behind it

Kadans is a 40-metre Spits, a cargo barge built to fit the locks of the Belgian and French canals. The Boatsuite fills the bow, with its own front door, bathroom and deck. We live in the middle and the stern. The only thing we share is the staircase from the quay. At the bottom, the Boatsuite’s front door is on the right and ours is on the left.

Hi, we are Renske and Tim

Together with our daughter Coco we live on Kadans, the 40-metre Spits we turned into our home. We are true water people and swim every day, straight from the boat. And we love sharing our island with guests: the best bakery, the best spot for a swim, the tram that takes you to the Rijksmuseum without changing.
